About the location:

Katherine is a town in the Northern Territory of Australia, situated on the Katherine River, after which it is named, 320 kilometres southeast of Darwin. Popular stopping points are the Katherine Gorge, in the Nitmiluk National Park, and the Cutta Cutta Caves.
